Every August school starts back – and with school comes the extracurricular activities. It can be hard to figure out which one (or ones!) are right of your child, but we’d like to officially state we think TOT is perfect for all children!
One of the biggest bonuses of TOT is that classes are held at the school and parents don’t have to worry about shuttling your kids to another activity! We consider that a pretty big win-win!
As for what happens in those classes? Children will learn 25 ball handling skills throughout the year and then have the chance to do some really fun things with those skills.
November
In November, we’ll be hosting the TOT Skills Tournament. This is a super fun tournament for everyone, because parents also participate with their kids! Parents sit near their child while their child shows off their skills. It makes for a special moment that both parent and child will always remember.
January
In January, TOT kids get to take their skills on the road and perform their big halftime performance! At the performance, they will show the skills they have learned at the halftime of a basketball game. We’re not sure who loves this more – the kids or the parents! There’s nothing like stepping on the court and performing for so many people, but there’s also nothing like videoing your child who’s beaming from the floor either!

Our last big event of the year is our Shine Time Celebration in May. At Shine Time, TOT kids show off all of the 25 skills as well as the academic concepts they have learned throughout the year. It’s always a fantastic program that showcases all the amazing things your child has learned in the past nine months. There is something so special to see how much your child has progressed since the beginning of the year and it makes our hearts happy to see flourishing kids and happy parents!
