About Z-Emily Hyatte

Emily Hyatte grew up in Bakersville, North Carolina before moving to Ocala, Florida with her husband and daughter in 2016. Emily and her husband have completed their family with the addition of their second dauther in 2019. Emily has a love for educating children as well as a love for basketball! Being a TOT Owner allows her to combine these passions and provide families with lasting memories. Emily has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Wingate University where she was a member of the Women’s Basketball team and also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Carson-Newman University where she was as Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball Team. Emily has had many education and athletic positions in both North Carolina and Florida ranging from Kindergarten Teacher to Curriculum Coordinator, and Varsity Girl’s Basketball Coach to Assistant Athletic Director. When Emily first heard about the TOT program she could not ignore the feeling that she experienced...as if the program was built specifically for her to be a part of! As an educator and an athlete, Emily is confident that the TOT program will benefit all students through the unique, and research-based curriculum that combines music, movement, and academics, which is not offered by any other extracurricular program. As the TOT owner for Ocala and surrounding areas she is thrilled at the opportunity to bring this terrific program to her community.
TOT is a unique enrichment program for boys and
girls that has a focus on athletics, agility, and academics through
ball-handling and dribbling skills. Preschool
children, ages 3-5, can learn 25 skills during a TOT season! TOT combines fine and gross motor skills along
with academics into a weekly 45-minute class, which is also set to music. During each class, an academic lesson is
taught that helps enhance what your child is already learning in their preschool
classroom. This helps prepare children
for a successful transition into Kindergarten and beyond. With TOT, your child has the opportunity for at least two public performances to
show off their new ball-handling SKILLS…once at a basketball game half time and
again at the end of year Shine Time Celebration where they earn a TOT trophy
for all of their hard work and success!
