About Jennifer Knight

University of North Texas with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2002.
She has nine years of teaching experience in grades per-kindergarten to first
grade. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters, Rylie and Haylie. After
watching her oldest daughter go through the TOT program in 2010 she fell in
love with the Teams of Tomorrow program. She was amazed at everything her
daughter learned and how much her self-confidence grew while she was a part of
the TOT team. When her husband was relocated to Lubbock in 2011, she decided to
step out of the classroom to work with the Teams of Tomorrow program in
Lubbock. She truly enjoys working with young children and watching them grow
and learn. As an educator, she understands the importance of movement in
development and how it enhances the academic growth of students. Jennifer loves
that the TOT program provides a unique and fun atmosphere to teach basketball skills,
academic concepts, gross and fine motor development, coordination skills,
self-control and team-work. TOT was created by educators and is based on sound
teaching principles and extensive brain research showing the many connections
between physical activity and academic readiness.
The highlight of the Lubbock TOT program is the
half time performance. TOT Lubbock Superstars
have performed at Texas Tech, Lubbock Christian University, and some local high
schools. The TOT Superstars really shine and their confidence soars when they
fill the court, ready to show off their ball handling skills at the halftime
show.
The preschool TOT program in the Lubbock area
runs from September through May. In addition to the halftime performance, our
preschoolers end the year with our SHINE TIME CELEBRATION! At Shine Time, the superstars get to show off all they have learned during the season, they also receive their hard-earned trophies!
