About Lacey Hittson
I grew up in a town where basketball was a way of life. I don't remember a time where I didn't want a ball in my hand. I remember the day my parents bought us our first basketball goal and the first shot I made (granny style) on that goal.
Every summer I went to basketball camps. What I remember most from these camps are dribbling, shooting, and most importantly, ball handling. Every day in middle school and high school, our warmup consisted of stretching and then practicing our ball handling skills.
My hometown of Nazareth, TX has won state in Girls' basketball more times than any other town in the country. I am proud to say that I was able to be a part of that. In 2005 and 2007 our team won the school's 17th and 18th State Championships.
After graduating high school, I played basketball for Eastern New Mexico University before eventually moving to Canyon and earning my degree as a Teacher and Coach. I met my husband
Michael in college while playing on the club tennis team. We eventually got married and moved to Midland. In 2015 we became a family of 3 as we welcomed our son Charlie. Our middle son, Robbie was born in 2018 and our baby girl Riley was born in April 2021.
