About Missy Wallace
Missy has been married to Blake Wallace for 32 years. Their son, Jake, is a graduate from OU with his CPA and daughter, Belle, is also a graduate from OU Dental Hygiene school. Both are happily married and recently started families of their own! Missy is a certified teacher with twenty years of public school experience. She has taught kindergarten, third and fourth grade. She decided to combine her love for teaching with her love for physical fitness and became certified to teach physical education which she taught for three years in Mississippi. During this time, she had the opportunity to teach TOT to her fourth and fifth graders.
At the beginning of 2012 when Blake's company approached him about relocating to the OKC area, Missy and her family were excited at the opportunity to move. Since Blake is an OU Alumni, he was hoping their children would follow in his footsteps. Missy loved the TOT program so much that she decided this was the perfect opportunity to become a TOT Director and bring this new, innovative program to the OKC area.
TOT is an active, academic program that will compliment your child's existing preschool curriculum while building gross and fine motor skills, instilling good character, self-discipline and increasing self-confidence. This ball handling program was created by educators and because of that, modern day brain research and sound teaching principals were naturally integrated. TOT is the most unique song and movement program available to preschoolers today – combining academics with athletics, appealing to boys and girls, and the athletic and non-athletic.
You might think that Teams of Tomorrow is all about basketball. In a way it is.....but it encompasses much more.
We do use a basketball as the main tool during our classes
....and we do learn all sorts of amazing ball handling and dribbling drills
....and we do put on an amazing half time show
....and we do wow the parents with our Shine Time finale!
But equally important is the concept that TOT teachers model and teach....
Work hard!....Do your best!...and Good things will happen!
