Cathie Gober
Pre-School TOT Programs
About Cathie Gober
Cathie Gober, North Atlanta, Georgia TOT Director
Cathie retired
after teaching elementary school for 30 years and loved every minute of it. She
was blown away with the TOT Program, and she could not wait to become a
director and start working with children outside of the classroom. She was
impressed with the idea of a program that combines fitness and academics for children ages 3 through elementary school. Since
all TOT lessons are set to music, the children have so much fun they do not
realize they are exercising and learning!
While Cathie spent her teaching career in Gwinnett and Forsyth counties,
she grew up in Columbia and Greenville, South Carolina. She graduated from
Winthrop University, received her Master’s and Specialist degrees from The
University of Georgia and her Doctorate degree from Walden University.
Cathie lives in Cumming, GA. She has a daughter, Jamie (27) and a son, Jayson (24.)
North Atlanta TOT Program
The TOT program is an active learning program combining music and movement, basketball dribbling, and academics. Based on sound teaching principles, it is a great supplement to the school curriculum. TOT uses games and fun activities to build fine and gross motor skills. It teaches twenty-five ball-handling skills that will be performed publicly twice a year.
The Preschool TOT North Atlanta program runs from September to May. Your child will have the chance to perform in a basketball halftime show and at the end of the year Shine Time celebration. Students may start classes at any time during the year, so do not fret if your child misses the September start date. Cathie looks forward to working with your Superstar to showcase TOT talents this year!
